Free Buses on Cox Plate Day
A free bus service will run from 10.30am-2.00pm on Tatts Cox Plate Day. Buses will depart every 30 minutes from the Flemington Terrace car park, Optus Oval car park and Melbourne Exhibition Centre arriving at McPherson Street, Moonee Valley. The buses will return patrons to the above mentioned venues from 4.30pm through until 7.30pm. There will also be shuttles running from Moonee Ponds train station running every 10 minutes to the course from 10.30 am.

Outbound
From Melbourne city, proceed via Elizabeth Street to Flemington Road, and then branch left onto Mt Alexander Road. Follow the road to Moonee Ponds junction, turn right into Kellaway Avenue, left into Pascoe Vale Road and right into Wilson Street. Turn right into access road (indicated by sign).
Alternatively, from Melbourne city, you can follow Citylink north and exit at Moreland Road. At the end of Moreland Road, turn left into Pascoe Vale Road. Follow Pascoe Vale Road and turn left into Wilson Street.
Inbound
From Tullamarine, take Citylink toward Melbourne city. Exit at Brunswick Road turnoff, and then turn right into Ormond Road. Turn right into Pattison Street, and proceed under Dean Street overpass to enter the racecourse.
By Public Transport
Train
The Broadmeadows line train departs from Flinders Street station. Disembark at Moonee Ponds station. The racecourse is a 10-minute walk down Puckle Street across Moonee Ponds junction to Dean Street and then turn left into McPherson Street to get to the main entrance.
Tram & Bus
Terminals are located at the Moonee Ponds Junction (off Puckle Street and Pascoe Vale, Mt Alexander and Ascot Vale Roads). Tram No. 59 from Elizabeth Street arrives directly at the Junction terminal. From there it is a 200m walk to the Stand Turnstile entrance on McPherson Street.
By Taxi
Taxis are available following the races on McPherson Street. There is also a Taxi rank on Alexandra Avenue (off McPherson Street, towards Pascoe Vale Road).
Car Parking
Parking available in the centre of the racecourse. It is recommended to use public transport on the day as parking is limited.
